The Parklife Weekender 2014

I had been excited for Parklife for as long as I can remember, (well since January when I booked it) and the weekend had finally arrived! We had been warned a couple of days before we set off that the weather was going to be atrocious and damn straight it was, but we weren't going to let that ruin our weekend. After all what would a festival be without bad weather? With this information in mind you would of thought that wellies had been packed, but silly us we brought converses and chelsea boots and what a big mistake that was!

As I was the first to get ready I took the opportunity to snap some of my beautiful friends and the outfits and accessories that they had chosen. Festivals really give you the opportunity to wear whatever you want and to explore different types of fashion.

We arrived on saturday afternoon to a wet and somewhat miserable Manchester but on the positive side our hotel was amazing! We were staying in a business suite as there were four of us and it really brightened the mood! Parklife was so close we could hear it (not literally, we were half an hour away from the park) and the excitement had really got to us, which meant that we were going a bit cray this also may have had to do with the fact that alcohol was involved.

Shortly afterwards we set off for Heaton park where the festival was being held for the weekend, as we arrived the crowds were huge! It was estimated that 70,000 people were attending Parklife!

(As you can see the mud was cray!)

I have to say it was one of the best weekends of my life! Despite the crappy weather and ruined converses we were still able to have an amazing time. We saw many acts including Annie Mac, ASAP rocky, Foxes, Bastille, Ella Eyre, Skream, B.Traits, Foals and many more. My two favourite acts were Foals and Bastille as they were amazing live and really got the crowd hyped, which created an awesome atmosphere! I would recommend Parklife to everyone, just don't forget your wellies!
